pictures of the sorghum IPM trail

The integrated pest management that we have tried seem to be working well as there are very few signs of the Chillo partellus on the sorghum plants, especially in the double strip desimodium plots. This could mean that to some extent the Napier grass (which is freely available in our area) and the green leaf desimodium can be used to control the devastating stalk borer. However the we haven't yet reached a conclusion, we will be certain after the official report from the entomology department of the research institute leading the trial.
